LTAT Associate

For trainees / newly qualified / building hours.
Requirements:

  • enrolled in recognised counselling/psychotherapy qualification
  • supervision in place
  • DBS (or applied for)
  • agreement to LTAT Ethics

LTAT Accredited Therapist

For qualified working therapists.
Requirements:

  • qualification evidence (Level 4+ or equivalent)
  • minimum client hours (50+)
  • supervision contract (monthly or appropriate)
  • DBS
  • insurance
  • agreement to code

LTAT Senior / Supervisor Accredited

For experienced therapists + supervisors.
Requirements:

  • higher hours threshold (250+)
  • supervision qualification (or equivalent evidence)

Step-by-step pathway

Complaints Process


Stage 1 — Informal Resolution

client encouraged to raise issue with therapist

therapist responds professionally in writing

attempt resolution and learning


Stage 2 — LTAT Review

  • client submits complaint form
  • therapist provides response within set timeframe (14 days)
  • LTAT panel reviews

Stage 3 — Outcome

Possible outcomes:

  • no action
  • guidance issued
  • warning
  • conditions (mandatory supervision, training, limitation of scope)
  • suspension
  • termination of membership
     

Membership Fees

Associate: £9/month or £90/year
Accredited: £19/month or £190/year
Senior/Supervisor: £29/month or £290/year
